Did you have a sweet Valentines Day?

It is a very special day to me since Certain Man and I had our first date on Valentine’s Day, 35 years ago, today.

Old Gertrude, who lived with us nearly 20 years never could say “Valentines.”  It was always “Belly-chimes!”  Somehow, that made me giggle instead of feeling romantic.

Anyway, however you want to celebrate it, “Happy Belly-Chimes Day to all!”  (And to all, Good-night!)

  1. Happy “Belly-Chimes” to you, too!!

  2. What a marvelous gift you and your Mama sent via Daniel.  I listened to the CD last evening during my “coffee break.”  So comforting, so relaxing.  The booklet is perfect for devotions.  A page a day to ponder and reflect.  The little Hope angel is adorable and sits here in front of me on the computer desk.  Thank you again for doing the soup chore while Emily is away.  I am so very grateful for all our stretcher-carry-ers.
I admire those of you who can remember dates of important stuff.  Me?  Not.  I couldn’t tell you when our first date was if my life depended on it … sure glad it doesn’t.    Blessings on your day.

  3. I like “Belly-Chimes” Day!  sounds like something one of my first graders would have said.  Wish I had kept a notebook of those cute words.  Sometimes they fit better than the real words did!  Happy “So Glad to Meet you” Day!

  4. “Belly-Chimes” Day, I love it. Years and years ago for Christmas I engineered the children getting their father a robe for a gift. He trucked at all hours and was often sleeping during the day and really needed a nice bath robe. The children were 7-5 and 3 years old and called it Daddy’s “wobe”…………..to this day Hubby and I still reach for our “wobes”………..Then there are my husband’s “whiffles”, his name for a sugar coated cereal he likes…………..Shortly after my daughter was married she went to supermarket after supermarket searching for “whiffle” cereal………..Not until she told me she couldn’t find them did she learn it was her Dad’s name for his cereal.
