I know you surely miss him extra much today. {{hugs}}
I pray that our Heavenly Father will hold you and all of your family close today as you especially miss being with your dad on Father’s Day. May you feel His love fathering you. We have a number of children in our church whose fathers have deserted the families. As we sang “Child of God” this morning the tears began, and we had a precious time praying for the children living without their dads. One of the girls gave Dick a Father’s Day card. On the envelope she wrote, “To my second Dad”. That meant so much to him. I feel especially blessed this year to have such a loving dad and to have him still here on earth with us.

RYC: yes he will be alone about 2 weeks you know what they say absence makes the heart go fonder!!! Really this is the deal We will be staying with his parents got to give the grandparents time with the grandchildren and in order to give them quality and quantity time this is how we as a couple chose to do it. We can’t afford for Fred to take off longer from work so I stay with the children because we don’t want them down there alone. So this is dear Fred’s sacrifice for his children and his Dad & step mom!!! We will miss him but we have been doing this every summer for about 6 years now.

Yes, your dear son was great!! We had a wonderful time. I have been just very busy. On top of having lots of company in the house along with the team, my work was much busier then it had been for a while. I did get off on Wed. and we had a big party for our marriage class that eveing. The 4 kids did the serving which worked out so well and really did help me out a lot. Spme day I may have time to write more.Joye
