Them there people

We had the distinct pleasure of having Eldest Son’s friends here for the night.  There was a Chorus program at Greenwood Mennonite Church, and there were people in the Chorus that Eldest Son is quite fond of, indeed, having made their acquaintance at Sharon Mennonite Bible School back in 2000.
This is Cindy and Charles Fox from Lancaster, PA, to the left.
Angelo Yoder from Partridge, Kansas, on the right.
And that other fellow in the middle???
Well, I guess that Certain Man and I will claim him.  He is Raph Yutzy from Milford, DE.
(Oh, and one more thing — that pretty little Cindy girl and her husband are expecting a baby in nine weeks!!!)

  1. How is it that I look about like that AT 9 weeks pregnant? lol.  Thanks for sharing the photo.

  2. Boy, do I ever concur with the above comment!! When I was that close to being due, people were asking if it would be any day now!So Raph went to SMBI? Did he know any of Dick’s brother Bob’s family? Their sons Japheth and Jon and their daughters Juanita and Judy all went there, I think. And I think maybe Bob teaches one-week courses, but I’m not sure about that. Someone else to ask about – did he ever meet up with any of the Frank Reed family, possibly Mark? And being the curious person I am, who are the parents of that Lancaster couple on the picture?

  3. That was a weird feeling to see a picture of Angelo on your site! How much time do you have left with Eldest Son?

  4. It looks like your son is as tall as MTG or taller!  When does he leave?

  5. Hello , Nice picture now. GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Nice picture of some very nice young people!  Inquiring minds want to know when Eldest Son leaves? This is through the REACH program? BEG do you remember that I met Eldest Son last December I think it was Dec. and Lem in June. Do you think I’ll get to meet the rest of you folks this side of Heaven? It is a small world.

  7. He needs to be at the SEND House (training center for the REACH program) on Sunday.  There is a parent orientation on Saturday night that Daniel and I would like to go to, but we aren’t sure yet if it will work out.  There is a chance that someone else might be able to take him and Pollythepatchworker’s daughter, Holly, to Ohio for us.  (Mark and Polly have other obligations this weekend)  There is a frolic, a baby shower and an anniversary celebration all within the two days we would be gone that we really should be participant in.  Plus, the second half of our flock of Roasters are ready to go out and that is (always is) a complicating factor.  You can pray that God will give us wisdom, as there are some other things that are going on in Certain Man’s family that are disconcerting.  I really don’t see how we can drop into Ohio on Saturday night and leave again on Sunday morning and there not be some serious repercussions.  Anyhow.  Life is full of decisions.  And I need to remember that they are not all mine to make!

  8. Mary we are just not going to talk about pole beans.  Ours look horrible  and horrible is not a strong enough word for it.  I’ve gotten two meals.  Period.

  9. Angelo is from Partridge, which is about 4 miles from here. Actually, my daughters attend(ed) the public grade school in Partridge. I think I can safely say that I know 95% of the Amish, Beachy and Conservative Conference people in the state of Kansas. I don’t know all the younger children, but I would know all of their parents. The beauty of living in a state like Kansas!
