  1. Sorry to learn of your pinched nerve, certainly is no fun is it! I plan to attend the funeral of the 93 year old mother of 2 of the Forget Me Nots ,(Hutch and Jeannie)and also Yvonne’s mother-in-law. I was touched by the FMN’s banding together and showing sympathy to the family. The service is in the morning. RYC about thinking about what to wear: I seem to have collected much black lately and oh how easy it is to dress! Not much thought required when your choices are black or black or to add lime green or pink to the black LOL My oh my your church basement has indeed been transformed! Wish I could join you for that pot luck! I’d bring the fruit cake!

  2. ryc:  I did not  care in the LEAST who won that silly and rather enjoyed giggling at the atttitudes of some of the people.  i did think of your family and thought of how happy they would be over the victory.  πŸ™‚

  3. yaaay for helping hands!!  yes the grape juice was not a help in the hight blood pressure department but i caught up on my rest this weekend!

  4. I remember the sick feeling when I first saw those pictures, and how wonderful it is to see the ‘after’ picture! I am sure you will enjoy it for many years to come! I see Lucy is commenting on a pinched nerve, I need to go find where you commented about it. I am currently suffering with a pinched nerve in the back of my right shoulder, which causes my right arm to be either be very numb, or shooting and alive with pain at night. As I type here, my 2nd finger is numb, so I shake it to get feeling back in it(temporarily). I have been seeing a chiropractor, and finally this last week, I told him that something has to cahnge! He told me to take a brisk 15 minute walk every day, really swinging my arms as far as I can while I walk to loosen that area up, and it has helped some. I just don’t like doing it in the light of day because it looks so strange!

  5. Beautiful illustration of talents used for God!

  6. Are you still having trouble with that pinched nerve? Tomorrow I am having a couple of friends in for my first pumpkin pie of the season. If you hurry you could make it in time. Oh by the way if you can come you could bring the Cool Whip okay? LOL just kidding! In my mind that very first piece of pumpkin pie each fall is the very very best, after that it is all down hill as none ever beats it for me. You are welcome to join us if you could make it by 2.

  7. Yes, I get sleepy tired, but not tired of what I do!  Our wonderful waterbed is always the best place to be when I want to sleep, but other places work now and then!

  8. The recipe is from the Libby pumpkin pie filling can.  There will be 4 or 5 others here. Miss Brooks will be in Des Moines and not able to be with us tomorrow. I’ll take pictures.

  9. Hi there- Just saw you checked in on my site- Isn’t this xanga something?? well, babies need to go down for naps so…

Oh Mary Ann, how I miss you and the rest of your family…. I wish I knew the daily happenings at Shady Acres, and that I could share my daily happenings as well. You could at least know that I was offered an internship at the International Service Center in Harrisburg, working with immigrants and refugees this upcoming Spring. So exciting!!!love you so much,Jess
