Be careful out there!!!!

Wreck 2

Wreck!

Route 36 is really slick!  You all be careful!!!!

This is what just happened in our front yard.

(Nobody is hurt.  Thank God!)

(And it isn’t our vehicle.  Thank God!)

(But I feel really sorry for the nice young man who was driving this pickup — he was on his way to work, and a patch of black ice surprised him.)

  1. Not the nice kind of surprise!

  2. Oh my, that could have been tragic! No one injured, that is good.

  3. What a sight!  Thankfully neither he or your house or you were hurt!

  4. Oooo.  What time of night did that happen?  Icy roads do scare me, especially knowing I have a 17 year old son who really hasn’t done a lot of ice driving.     You have a great day Mary.  Love you, Polly

  5. One of those happened out on our main road Sunday night.  I was glad to be in the house and not trying to make it home!  There was very little snow but it gets slick so fast and there are so many cars up here to avoid.  It’s not like you can just slide around and recover.  If you slide you are just as likely going to slide right INTO someone else!

  8. Stopping in to check on you and leave my”hello”.

  9. Hey, the wedding is your kin.  Luke and Neva’a oldest – Kendra, to Jr and Darla Slaubaugh’s son, Gary. Beautiful couple, beautiful wedding with a winter almost Christmasy theme.

  10. I can’t even see the moon!  Maybe the snow is closer to us!  I hope so.

  11. Check your messages. PS– I am absolutely serious about the bicycle being a conscious and concerted effort toward improving my cardiopulmonary function in the hopes that the ravages of history will not soon overtake me. With my genetic history, compounded by having been a heavy smoker for 11 years, plus working in dusty conditions, plus a smoke inhalation injury secondary to a chimney fire in my home once upon a time, I am acutely aware of the early symptoms of some pulmonary deficits. I do hope to be able to stick around for a while and enjoy the children & grandchildren, but I have a feeling that if I don’t get serious about it now, it’ll be too late by the time I’m 50. mw
