Just thinking back to five years ago at the end of January. . .
This picture was taken on January 27, 2007.
What a lot has happened in those five years!
Do you have a picture or a story from five years ago?
I don’t have enough time this morning,
but I could (quite literally) write a book!
Thank God for His incredible grace!
His undying love.
And the Hope of Heaven.
Five years ago, we were still dealing with a life changing event in the life of our youngest daughter. It was a horrible time, something that happened through no fault of her own, but indicative of the evil in this world. We all struggled just to find normalcy, to breath without aching. I claimed Isaiah 43:2, and I walked around in a daze most of the time, wondering where God was when this happened. But, now I can tell you that God works all things out for His glory and our good, which I knew beforehand in my head, you know. That daughter, who grew spiritually all the way through, is living proof that God is sovereign. She is married and seeing God working out so many blessings in her life that every day we are seeing God work in a new way!
Is that when your dad went to Heaven? I didn’t quite know you yet at that time. I looked back to see what picture I might have posted on that date and ended up feeling quite convicted. No picture, because I was away for a weekend of prayer and fasting. So it’s been five years since I did that. I don’t even know if I could still do it, but I should.
I need to go back in time and see what 2007 last Jan. had for me.I’ll let you know.
Five years ago this month our family was rebuilding our cabin for Nathanael and Emily to move into. They were just 5 months away from having their first child (my first grandchild) Arulai, and the rush was on to have it finished before the lease on their apartment was up in June. The sad story is that they cabin project was not complete enough for them to live in it for another year! The happy story is that, although it is not completely finished, it is very livable, and Bill, Dannye, and I have been living in it since Nathanael’s family moved to Minnesota almost 3 years ago! I love my cabin!
Five years ago I was just turning 30 and Caleb was my little babykins. So much has happened since then!((HUGS)) and warm thoughts to you, sweet lady!
