Please pray for my friend, Lynn.
Courageous, beautiful, serene.
Smiley, joyful, realistic.
So different from me,
but we have the same Heavenly Father.
And both of our earthly Daddies
are recently home to Heaven.
So much alike, too.
We both love words and laughter and friends.
We both love our homes and our families.
I love Lem and Jess.
She loves Jess and Lem.
She prays for her daughter and my son.
I pray for my son and her daughter.

Today, Dear Friend, you face an incomprehensible challenge.
And my prayers can scarcely think of anything else
besides an operating room at Johns Hopkins,
And what is happening there.

Lord Jesus, in your Holy Name I pray
For an incredible anointing of power and healing.
Guide the hands and thoughts of those who are operating or assisting.
Hold Lynn’s family in the calm of your grace.
May your eye that sees the sparrows keep watchful care of Lynn.
May the evidence of YOU be so inescapable
That no one, NO ONE can ever say
that it was anything but you!

UPDATE!!!!
LYNN CAME OUT OF SURGERY
AT TWO O’CLOCK.
THE BRAIN TUMOR WAS BENIGN!!!
THE DOCTORS SAY
THEY GOT IT ALL!!!
HER FAMILY SAW HER.
SHE KNEW THEM AND WAS MOVING AND TALKING.
JESSICA SAID THAT SHE SEEMED REALLY, REALLY GOOD!

THIS IS A GOOD TIME
TO THANK GOD
FOR ALL HIS MERCIES TO US.

  1. There’s so much on your heart and mind, my friend … I scarcely can take it all in.  May the Comforter be so close to you today that you can feel His very essence.  I love you!

  2. hi there. you left a comment on my xanga earlier today, and i just stopped by to say hi and catch a glimpse into your life as well. it looks like you have a wonderfully close family and a good bunch of friends, and that is beautiful to see!! whatever is going on with your friend, i pray that you can be there with hugs, lots of hugs and warmth for her and her family, as i’m sure she has been there for you as well. praise God for His family that takes care of each other, and acts as his hands and feet and arms and tears while He is unable to be here with us in body. His Spirit is alive and well in each of us, and that is a relief in and of itself. i’m glad God could bring us together in this way to leave little xanga comments of peace and comfort and hope and encouragement for each other at this time.take care, “buckeyegirlie”!!

  3. Mary Ann, thanks for posting a picture. We prayed for her this AM. I don’t think I’ve met her.  So please keep us updated.

  5. I had just read your earlier post a few minutes ago and I wanted to know how Lynn’s surgery went, but didn’t want to call.  I really thought I should get back on here, but thought it was kinda dumb since I had just checked.  PRAISE THE LORD for the news you posted in the meantime!!!  How GOOD He is.  How wonderful.  Love you … I know it’s been a hard day … on top of many other hard days.  Hang in there!

  11. Maryann….my dear Aunt Bernie was just showing me your website (this was before I got your comment) and she was like..”I wonder where this picture was taken at?” And I kindly informed her that that was at the play last year, and yes indeedie, that was my hand in the corner!! 🙂 And then I got your comment and laughed….and yes, I did look about 80 years older…that was definetly fun to dress up for!! Well, I hope you have a great rest of the week!! Ashley

  15. So glad you were finally able to subscribe to my page…’cause you know daily updates from me is like manna from heaven!  (Yeah right!)  Anyway, I’m waiting with a prayer in my heart for more news from Africa.  As far as I know, Brad is fine.  We have certainly been praying health for all of them.  My mom sent notions and potions along with him–we figured it would cure or kill.  It seems to have worked positively so far!

  16. I would welcome you to join me for tea and if I knew you were coming I’m make something special. I like fruit cake and so does hubby. Unfortunate for me there are few things I do not  like to eat! So far the fruit cake has come in handy for when I have nothing else to quickly serve with tea or coffee. How is Lynn getting along? I certainly hope she is doing well.
