My Poor, Sad, Youngest Daughter!!!

Poor Rachel w2

It’s red, and it itches and it burns and it isn’t very pretty, either!!!

Even the doctor doesn’t know for sure, but it seems that she has either ingested or inhaled or gotten too close to something that really doesn’t agree with her.  We’ve thought and thought and thought and thought, but, alas, we cannot think of a single thing that could have caused this.
Chocolate???
Maybe. . .
(How sad would that be?)

Get better quick, girlie. It’s no fun being drugged up with benedryl.

  1. Our daughter Miki suddenly broke out in hives at the age of 16. Unfortunately it became a recurring problem and she became all too familiar with benedryl. At some point she went through allergy testing and she was allergic to way too many things to avoid. Why she just suddenly reacted at age 16 remained a mystery. Interestingly enough, it is not nearly as much a problem in Sweden as when she’s here. Wonder what the reason for that is? Hope this is a once and done reaction for your youngest daughter.

  2. Them ‘er BIG words, BEG!  I had to take my glasses off to read ’em.  heh heh.  Feel better soon, Rachel!!

  3. What next???
She wasn’t feeling well last night, was she?

  4. Poor girlie !!  Hope she feels better soon

  5. Hello , Hope your daughter will feel better soon now. I know it is no fun when you don’t know what it is at all. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Mom had an allergy to honey/bee pollen that came on quite suddenly as an adult.  She’d puff right up like a blow-fish!  Really strange how things can crop up like that out of nowhere.    Best wishes for a speedy-quick recovery for Rachel!!!

  7. Thank you for your kind words about my dad.  I told him what you wrote yesterday morning at church and he couldn’t remember it.  Hard to believe, because he usually remembers things like that.  I know your parents hold a special place in his heart and mine as well.  I was priviledged to travel to Israel with them 7 months before I was married.   Your parents were present at our wedding and your dad even managed to get in one of our wedding photos.  I sent a copy to your mom after your dad passed away.

  8. Hope you can figure it out soon so she doesn’t have too many reaccurrances.

  9. Poor youngest daughter! Her summer has not been the easiest health-wise! Hopefully this soon will pass and she can enjoy the rest of the summer!

  10. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, poor Rachael.    Hope she’s feeling better soon.    We had such a good time with Mom in Mich.  I had flash back after flash back when seeing her rock Summer or read to the children.  Where has the time gone?  It just seemed like she was holding and reading to my children.       Israel and Jessica were so Happy to have her there.

  11. Poor Little Rachel! I hope this is a one time reaction never to bother the dear girl again! Hope she recovers soon.

  12. Hi Polly, I never commented on your site before, but I just have to after seeing these pictures. Mark golfing with his sons, you and your grandchildren, that happy little baby, the lovely house, the FLOWERS, reminiscing over old pictures, Great Grandma enjoying her family…. it doesn’t get much better than that, does it? Blessings, Jean Stauffer

  13. Okay, that’s pretty embarrassing! I was looking at the pictures on Polly’s site right before I wrote that comment, and I thought I was commenting on her site!!

  14. Oh, dear.  But I do sympathize.  How awful for Rachel … and her momma.  Hope it clears up real soon.

  15. When even the doc doesn’t know what it is you feel lost as to what to do!  Bless her.  Did she come back with this from her camp?

Oh dear… will she be able to come to CMC this weekend?!

  17. Hope Rachel feels much better pronto. The recipe for the pie was from Taste of Home, several years back. It’s a very simple recipe, but I think the time she took for the top impressed the judges, as well as the unique blend in the pie.
