Tuesday evening, our church had a supper.
Shirley was safely home from the Ukraine for a month.
Shirley and Ilva look over a photo album of Shirley’s.
And Philip and Laura came home with their baby for a week.
Laura and Philip. (I searched in vain for a picture of their wedding reception in DE,
and couldn’t find it in the files. So this isn’t the greatest picture, but, hey, these people have a baby that was born on July 4th. I think they look great for being such new parents!)
Kathy holds her first grandbaby, Grace Ann Sharp. (She may not know this, but she is partial and proud to the point of being insufferable! Some people get the nicest grandbabies, don’t they???)
As a church, we wanted to have a time to be together and catch up on the lives of these people we love.
Potluck is great solution, and because our church basement isn’t finished yet (long story, but it is coming along), Loretta suggested that we might be able to use the school cafeteria, It is air conditioned, there is plenty of room, and quite suited for a church supper.
So that is what we did!
Here are some of the faces of Laws Mennonite Church
Briar Cameron
Calvin and Dave J.R. and James
Emily and Kathy Evanna and Brianna
Aunt Dottie and Donna Joanna and Amy (and others) making pieces
“Our” Emmie Gary and Daniel (Sober discussion)
Philip and Eldest Son, Raph (Who stopped by to see his old friend)– Brianna and her Daddy
I am so sorry that I caught Aunt Dottie looking so surprised, but I liked the picture anyhow, (Do you think I can be forgiven, Aunt Dottie???) and it is good of Uncle John and my sweet Mama.
And then, there were these strange looking things out in the hall —
Briar was pretty much a pro at getting this contaption to go!
And Dave did really well — but went even faster with some help from Emmie!!!
And what a great time we had!!!
Thanks for all who helped to make this a really special evening.

I am most grateful once again, my friend, that you’ve taken the time to not only take the photos but post them for me to see. Yeah, I know, likely not just for me, but I do so very much appreciate it. Love. Mega-blessings today.
Mary Dear, loved the pics of Laws Potluck. Looks like great times of sharing with people we love.
How do you post that many pictures? Do you resize the whole batch at once or do it picture by picture? Alwo when you upload them to Xanga is it one at a time? I’d love to find a speedier way.
Did you see that Lucy said “We’re In!”.
Some not so “flattering” pictures, dear lady!! But still fun to see. It was a good supper. We were glad we came..
Great pictures. What are those strange things in the hall?
Looks like fun! No matter how busy you are, you always mix in some fun, don’t you? I noticed you on the pictures at Applebees on Polly’s site. Do both of your ladies go to Easter Seals during the day? And did Rachel find out how tall the big toe of the Statue of Liberty is on her trip to NYC?
Hello , Sound like you all had some fun now. I like your picture’s . GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with MaryKay up there… some not so flattering pictures… but hey! what you see is what you get.
I’d love to have a copy of me hubby on that ‘strange thing’.
